Cookies
Ingredients:
6 Tbsp butter, softened
6 tsp sugar
1 egg
1 Tbsp milk
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa
Frosting:
1 ½ cups confectioner’s sugar, sifted
3 Tbsp orange juice
1 oz semisweet chocolate, melted
Make the frosting first by adding the
confectionery sugar to a bowl and stir in the orange juice. The frosting
will coat the back of a spoon. Let set.
Make the cookies by preheating the oven to
350F. Beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Beat in
the egg and milk. Sift the flour and the cocoa together and gradually
mix together to form a soft dough. Roll out the dough on a lightly
floured surface until ¼ inch thick. Cut into round shapes with cookie
cutter. Place the cookies on a cookie sheet (best lined with parchment
if possible). Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden brown. Let the cookies
cool on a wire rack completely before frosting.
Frost with the orange frosting. Drizzle with
the melted chocolate! Enjoy!
