Chicks Love ChocolateÒ
was happy to be part of Pink at the Rink for Breast Cancer Awareness, a
Columbia Inferno Hockey League event! think pink!
We also are happy to have donated to the
auction for the McDaniels Automotive Group Golf Classic benefiting the
South Carolina Cancer Center. The event is April 20,2007 at the Fort
Jackson Golf Club. Funds that are raised provide money for cancer
research, patient services and technology. Call 434-7275 for more
information.

March 2007 Recipes:
Chicks Love ChocolateÒ
Mint Chocolate Brownies
1 and 2/3 cups softened butter 1 and ½ cups all-purpose flour
13 ounces best bittersweet chocolate 1 teaspoon salt
12-15 mint peppermint patties baking pan 13x9x21/2inches
6 large eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 and 2/3 cups sugar
Preheat the oven to 350° F.
Melt the butter and chocolate in a saucepan.
In a bowl, beat the eggs with the vanilla and sugar.
In another bowl, combine the flour with the salt.
When the chocolate mixture melts, combine it with the eggs and
vanilla mixture and then with the flour mixture. Beat until smooth.
Scrape half the batter into a buttered baking pan. Layer the mint
peppermint patties. Add the other half of the batter.
Bake for 25 to 28 minutes. Let cool completely before cutting.
Chicks Love ChocolateÒ
Chocolate Mint Martini
1 oz vodka
½ oz white crème de menthe
½ oz white crème de cacao
Splash half-and-half
Splash of club soda
Pour all ingredients into a shaker filled with ice, pour into a
chilled martini glass. To decorate:
Garnish with mint leaves or put a mint-chocolate Hershey kiss in the
bottom of the glass and rim the glass with sugar!
